I have read about so much information on how a proper carseat and rear facing carseat is essential as well as safe for a child. After chancing on a few pictures of the child, be it toddler or preschooler or even infant in a carseat. I can't help saying I'm so worried on their safety and shame on their parents.

Seriously they can afford to rent or buy a car or even borrow a car but no money to buy a car seat which cost 100+ only? Or even second hand ones way less than that.

Forward facing carseats for infant, or child below two or three ,their neck are not strong enough to take the impact of accident, and can cause their neck to be ripped out.( you can google more information on this). So please use rear facing car seats.

And parents just strapping the seat belt on their preschoolers and toddlers, you are not protecting them. You are killing them, in case of accident, the seat belt will cut their neck or suffocate them.

So please do your kids a favor and keep them away from potential danger. And a rant on how terrible sg is without a extended rear facing carseat that is able to take older kids. All maximum are only 13kg. So it's as good as saying we are forced to place our kids forward facing after they reach the weight limit.

I hope this issue I highlighted can prevent potential infant/child death by improper use of carseat and by using seat belt for the child.

Anyway enough rant and for me to show off my two kids in their car seat while I took them out alone driving for the first time on 16dec..
