Warning of Fukushima Rice
Written @ 1:37 AM
This is a VERY serious issue that our government has imported in the fukushima rice. It is currently sold at mediya and has sold out within 2 days only twice iirc.. (please note to only eat from mid to higher tier of japanese restaurants if you wish to consume japanese food as they are particular about the food they use. Of course the BEST is to avoid, but if you die die want to eat, only mid or high tier.).

And what is the reason that it will be bought by someone "up there" to clear stocks? Easy! The whole point is to bring some normal feeling back to fukushima produce that is safe for export. Thus the BEST way to get started is to have them back on the shelves!

Yoshinoya will be selling fukushima rice so please avoid eating from there. This complication resulting from the consuming is a VERY high price to pay. It concerns your generations and mess up the DNA. Other countries have refused importing from japan and singapore is the FIRST to become the scape goat for risking their citizen`s life. This may seem unbelievable but let me back it up with facts that will shock you which shocked me.

I felt that this is my responsibility to inform everyone about the serious-ness of this issue.

This is the video of how feeding two batches of butterflies one with fukushima contaminated leaves and another with a healthy leave. It affected their 2nd and 3rd generation majorly.

This first video is a MUST SEE if you care about your kid`s health and your future kid`s health

And always remember on this key word and learn more about it:

Bio-accumulation

And alot of people have turned citizen to scientist reading up on it and studying up on the effects which has been downplayed. Some of them are Engineer minded which knows at least the basic and fundamentals of the radioactive contamination and the devastating end it can get. There are also a huge amount of folks that does extreme crowd sourcing and provide alot of information relating to it like radioactive contamination maps which the government cant even dream of doing.

Can you imagine the extend of the fear and damage it can cost if even japanese citizens themselves are so proactive?

This is the kind of machine used to test. And as quoted from a youtube comment from user

Stream

w4csc

"
Hogwash!  They're testing the surface of the heavy paper bags!  Alpha emitters on the surface of the rice inside will NEVER make it through the paper, even a sheet of writing paper.  Beta will be absorbed a lot by the heavy paper and certainly by the first 5 cm of rice.  Beta is high energy free electrons.  Cs 134/137 and Iodine 131 are alpha and beta emitters.  The only source that would make it out of the center of the rice is high energy Gamma waves.

The machine is USELESS scanning the BAGS!  It finds nothing....exactly what this talker wants it to find in his rice...nothing....unless someone pours Cs over the bag.  This testing is a JOKE!"

He Explains it all..

And you cannot just say, oh easy then i dont eat this food. It can indirect affect everyone.

One good example is someone who is "contaminated" `s urnie which is released into reservoir as new water. Radiation is in alpha beta gamma rays.
Alpha can be blocked by a piece of paper
Beta can be blocked by wood board
Gamma can only be blocked by 3cm lead.

And nobody`s body is not made of lead, the person finish consumption, goes shopping.. Thats it! He contaminated the whole shopping centre! Secondary Chemistry top halve life for radiation, and we are screwed for the next 100 years! Thats how serious it is.

And doctor will wear full cbre suit with respirator which the dr knows themself are still are risk when dealing with radiation contaminated patient.  A forum member which i read from who used to be a hazmat claimed so that is no joke and dangerous.

Please see this video of the fukushima farmers speaking out. They wont even eat their own produce but they sell it..

]
A overview of the video:

We are just tilling deeply and spreading the radiation thinly.
We are not removing the contamination.
No wonder that the radiation level has not gone down!
We "decontaminate" a rice field. We measured the radioactivity in the air, it has not gone down at all.
We have not removed the contaminated soil. Of course not!
The environment has not changed at all two years after the explosions.
...
In Fukushima, all farm produce must be checked for the cesium level prior to shipping. The current government limit is 100 Bq. The farmers know how many Bq of cesium their produce contains. We can ship it if the reading is lower than 100. BUT I WOULD NOT DARE EAT IT MYSELF. The consumers assume there is no radiation in the food they buy. What do you say about this? ... We feel guilty about growing it and selling it. We won't eat it ourselves but we sell it.
...
The radiation readings in Tamano are almost as high as in Iitate. In the woods, you find spots with 7 to 10 micro Sv/hr everywhere. The decontamination is being done in limited areas. But there are so many cases when the areas outside the crop fields are not measured ...

Would you feed your children food with less than 100 Bq? How about 50 Bq? Simple measuring equipment would not detect cesium less than 10 Bq. ... The equipment that can measure all of alpha, beta and gamma rays is too expensive. Usually only gamma rays are measured, therefore only cesium. Do you think that consumers really believe ND (not detected) and put the food in their mouth? No, they won't eat it. I do know that for a fact.
....
The government claims it [produce] is within allowed level, but TEPCO doesn't collect data... the government who has authority to restrict the shipment of agricultural products refused to take any actions. There is nothing more disappointing and discouraging! Earlier I asked where your dignity went. ... How deplorable that public servants like yourselves behave this way!!

It [radioactive contamination] is not a rumor. Do you understand? ... Our farmland has been seriously contaminated. As bad as thousands of Bq. I measured my own land. It is there. ... You are not doing your job!

Even south korea has the brains to reject contaminated items:

South Korea rejected contaminated scrap iron imported from Japan / Radiation level 5 times much as safety limit

On 8/11/2014, the government of South Korea announced they rejected scrap iron from Japan.

It was imported on 8/7/2014.

They measured Cs-137 from 20 kg of the total volume 20 t. The actual density is not announced.

The surface radiation level was 5.32 μSv/h, which is over 5 times much as their safety limit.

It is not known where this scrap iron was from.

The government of HK rejected japan request to lift restriction on Japan`s import:

On 8/13/2014, Hayashi, the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries visited Hong Kong to request the government of Hong Kong to lift the restriction on Japanese imports however Ko Wing Man, the chief of the department of food and hygiene rejected the offer.

Since Fukushima accident, the government of Hong Kong stop importing vegetables, fruits, milk, milk based drinks and powdered milk from 5 prefectures to consist of Fukushima, Ibaraki, Tochigi, Gunma and Chiba.

Ko Wing Man commented “Lifting the restriction is difficult at this moment.”.

Reference of 10Bq/KG is unsafe when the limit now is 100 bq/kg

For mummies/daddies with kids.. Please take note of this

The follow points are esp important for those who have not yet re-produced, aiming to get pregnant, are pregnant, or are currently lactating.

* Cesium-137 taken in by infants is particularly hazardous. – it can easily cause irreversible damage to tissues in heart and other organs at levels as low as 10-50 Bq/kg.

Daily ingestion of ONLY 10 Bequerels of cesium from ANY sourse tends to cause cesium bio-accumulation in the body. This accumulation can be measured and monitored using a whole body INTERNAL radiation counter, which is NOT being used in Japan, on purpose. External radiation counters do little or nothing to monitor INTERNAL radiation accumulation and damage.

Lots more info here. You check if it's true yourself and see if you wanna follow the recommendations.

AGreenRoad Project - Teaching A Science Of Sustainable Health/Success: As Little As 10-30 Bq/kg of Cesium Radiation In Kids Causes Health Problems

And In japan got one martyr grow and eat the rice as an experiment on his own body.

Please note that he place he grow his rice is 250km away from fukushima. the rice they sell here is grown 60km away.

A former Fuji TV announcer Yamakawa commented on Twitter that he was growing rice and vegetables in his house in Ichihara city Chiba, and it caused him health problems. He states it was an experimental attempt by sacrificing his own health.

I’m sorry to worry you for being sick a little while ago. Some people pointed out it was because I was consuming the agricultural products that I planted by myself. I think that is true. After 311, I thought Boso area (Chiba) would definitely be contaminated too, but I kept on growing rice. As expected, radioactive material was detected from the products.

No wonder the harvested rice was contaminated, so I couldn’t have my family eat it. However, I didn’t want to waste rice so I had it myself. I had the rice harvested last year too. I have been eating it for one year and a half. In a sense, it was an experiment on my own body. When I fell down, I thought it started in the end. I put a period to farming here.

Since 311, I’ve been observing my health condition. I’ve felt something wrong with the respiratory organs, the digestive organs and the circulatory organs, continuously and intermittently. I’m sure it was due to the home grown rice and vegetables at least partially. It was for my personal consumption, but it is a matter of life or death for professional farmers. Radioactive contamination is really cruel.

Quoted from a forumer:
The way I look at it, selling fuku products in SG for profits is NOT the point. The food producers in that part of Japan want to be able to export their produce to the whole world again. SG is just a tiny market that $ revenue from us is not a true concern. Japan use SG as a reference country so that other big markets could gain some confidence in importing fuku products.

So, they cannot fail. By hook or by crook they must clear all the products in Singapore, even if they have to quietly give the rice to restaurants for $0. It's marketing expense.

This is why we must worry. It's not just a matter for people who like and are willing to pay for expensive fuku rice. The rice could find itself anywhere.

My speculation.

Which you cannot deny this is not the main reason which its allowed in our country. Its a suck up to their balls thing :(

Rice Imports from Fukushima – A Cause for Concern? | travellingfoodies

But produce from Fukushima has made it poorly on the shelves on local Japanese supermarkets. Despite being markedly cheaper than similar produce from other prefectures, local Japanese generally shun away from these, remaining unmoved by the attractive and sometimes ridiculously low prices they are attempted to be sold for. From what we saw in Tokyo during our recent most trip, even neighbouring prefectures like Tochigi and Ibaraki are implicated somewhat, with their apples and strawberries, as well as vegetables sold at lower prices compared to those from other prefectures. Prima facie, we were elated by how affordable Japanese foodstuff have become, but it was only after some serious thought did we reach some grave realisation to how serious the issue actually is.

Thing is, is rice from Fukushima really safe? Is the 100 Bq/kg “safety limit” really “safe”? Apparently it is not to some as stated HERE. Some sources as stated HERE even went on to exclaim that even 10-30 Bq/kg is hazardous, especially to young children, let alone the permitted 100 Bq/kg. Fact is, the rice is so contaminated that the locals won’t even eat it. The farmers sell it but they won’t even dare eat it themselves. The frustrating voices of the local Fukushima farmers are echoed loudly during a negotiation with government officials last year. Really a battle between keeping themselves fed and alive, against living each day with dignity as a fellow human with a clear conscience. PLEASE WATCH THE VIDEO OF THE NEGOTIATION HERE. Just look at how angry and despaired the Japanese farmers from Fukushima were as they pleaded and argued with the Japanese authorities from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry to formally address the contaminated farmland issue, and not merely dismiss it as being a “harmful rumour”.

You can actually google on anything > 100Bq/kg in Japan would previously (prior to the 311 Jap earthquake and tsunami) be labelled as low-level radioactive material needing to be stored in metal containers.

Not sure if these articles are legit, these 3 below but a good read:

Japan Professor: Outbreak of cancer is now underway in Fukushima children; Clear evidence of an epidemic — All of Japan is still being exposed to nuclear radiation

Former Official: Fukushima radiation is killing children… heart problems, leukemia, thyroid

Japanese professor “Thyroid cancer rate of Fukushima children is already up to 40 times much as normal”

This article is legit and seriously sad:

Shunned at home, Fukushima fruit farmers turn to Southeast Asia for turnaround

After three decades of serious efforts and promotion, Fukushima Prefecture became a “kingdom” of fruit farming, but all that changed after March 11, 2011, when the Great East Japan Earthquake and tsunami caused the meltdowns at the Fukushima No. 1 nuclear power plant.

Farmers and officials in the prefecture are now hoping that sales in Southeast Asia will help soften the impact of embargoes in other export markets. “We also hope Fukushima fruits can win a high reputation in Southeast Asia to offset the negative public image back in Japan,” said Yasunobu Wadayama, a deputy sales promotion chief in the prefectural government.

Annual export volumes have hovered around 50 tonnes over the last decade or so, and rose to 70 tonnes in 2009. But Taiwan and Hong Kong, which together imported more than 90 percent of that volume, have banned all imports of Fukushima farm products since the nuclear crisis began.

Thailand, which is close enough to receive fresh Fukushima peaches, has not shown the radiation fears that are evident in other areas. In August last year, Fukushima Prefecture and local farming groups invited about 20 Thai retailers to a prefectural institution that screens products for possible radioactive contamination. The retailers were told that only peaches found free of radioactive substances were being shipped. The Thais were also taken to a peach orchard, where they could sample the fruit. The first serious exports of Fukushima peaches and apples to Thailand took place the following autumn. Two tons of fruit were sold out at four Bangkok department stores, mostly to wealthy customers who could afford paying about 800 yen ($8) for a peach and 300 yen for an apple.

“The buyers likely placed trust in Japan’s screening system and made rational decisions,” said Koichi Okamoto, a first secretary for the Japanese Embassy in Thailand who attended the sales event.

Exports of Fukushima fruit to Malaysia also began this year. A combined 2.5 tonnes of peaches, along with 250 kg of pears and 80 kg of grapes for trial marketing, were sent to Thailand and Malaysia in August and September. They were all sold out at department stores in Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur.

There are plans to increase exports of Fukushima fruits next year. But the small circulation still means that most of the earnings will go into transportation and other expenses.

Enough for today..! Lol.. Hope these info helped you in making a informed decision to avoid the japanese food.
